The Netherlands will not impose consumption tax on e-cigarette products in the near future

Dutch Minister of Health Martin van Oiyen has stated that he will propose a consumption tax on e-cigarettes for the next cabinet. We need to take action on e-cigarettes as soon as possible, just like other countries in the European Union have done, "Oiyen said.
In recent years, some Dutch cigarette consumers have switched to using electronic cigarette products. The current Dutch government is focusing on prohibiting the sale of flavored e-cigarette and online e-cigarette products to cope with the increasing trend of adolescent e-cigarette product usage.
